Welcome parents and potential athletes! Below you will find updated information about our upcoming winter season. Along with general information, you will find google classroom codes for all winter sports and pertinent information that may need to be viewed, filled out, or kept on file for daily practices and games. We have also attached current information from the NJSIAA, the state governing body for high school athletics in New Jersey. Please understand that this will be a winter sports season like any other. New rules and regulations have been put in place for the safety of our athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. We will all have to work together for what we hope will be a very successful and SAFE sports season.
The winter season will officially begin practices on 12/3, with games allowed to officially begin on 12/21.
Below you will see a link for a travel waiver. One of the biggest changes this season will be transportation. Delsea school district transportation will be provided for all away games. Student athletes will need to find transportation for all practices and home games, as well as to the school prior to our team bus leaving. The attached travel waiver must be filled out in order for a student athlete to participate in athletics this winter.
The attached “Daily COVID form” is a requirement daily for each practice and game. This form may be printed out each day or we will have paper copies on hand. This form will help to indicate any potential symptoms of COVID, as well as serve as a log for daily temperature screenings.
Lastly, if anyone needs pre-participation packets, along with physical paperwork, please go to our main district website, click on departments, click on athletic training services, then click on pre-participation physical packet. On the left you will find all of the pieces from our packet. If you haven’t turned in any paperwork for the fall or winter, please print all of the pieces and return them to the main office at which school your student athlete will be attending. If you only need a few pieces of the packet, please print and return what is needed. Please note, you may visit either main office, HS or MS, for pre printed packets.
We’re very excited for the winter season to begin and look forward to having as successful a season as we did in the fall. Please note that Delsea school district will be practicing social distancing and the wearing of masks/facial coverings during all home and away games. If anyone has a medical issue, and therefore cannot wear a mask/facial covering for health reasons, please be prepared to provide documentation.
